What Will You Collect?
A Poem by God's Writer Girl
What will you collect?
Will you collect knickknacks
That sit on shelves and gather dust?
Will you collect coins
Meant to sit in books and not be spent?
Will you collect quilts
That moths will eat and fray?
What will you collect?
Will they be earthly treasures
That dim and gray?
Will they be memories
That fade with age?
Will they be items
Left behind when you die?
What will you collect?
Will you collect
Hearts for Jesus?
Will you gather
Hurting souls?
Will you help
Those who are lost?
What will you collect?
Will you gather
Weary travelers looking for home?
Will you help
Those oppressed and forgotten?
Will you show them
The love of God?
What will you collect?
Will your treasures
Be in Heaven with you?
Will you choose people over things?
What will you choose to collect?
