Litfuse Review: Her Secret by Shelley Shepard Gray

I was recently granted the honor and pleasure of reviewing Shelley Shepard Gray's newest release Her Secret: The Amish of Hart County. I have a confession to make. Amish fiction isn't typically a genre I can be found reading. My mother is the one who enjoys learning about the Amish and reading Amish fiction books. I can usually be found with a romantic suspense book in my hands. When Shelley Shepard Gray released The Secrets of Crittenden County series, my mother said; "Here is an Amish series I think you would actually enjoy. It has romance and suspense." I read the series and was hooked. When I saw this newest series was also a romantic suspense Amish fiction, I couldn't resist reading and reviewing Her Secret by Shelley Shepard Gray. I wasn't disappointed! As usual, Shelley Shepard Gray has delivered an exceptional story with rich characters and a nice mixture of suspense, romance, and Amish heritage. If you enjoy any of those genres, I highly recommend you pick up a copy of Her Secret to read this story for yourself.

The Book - Her Secret:

Her Secret is the story of Hannah Hilty, an Amish young woman who has become the obsession of one man's desire. He will not stop until he makes her his ... forever! To avoid this threatening madman, Hannah and her family leave behind their farmland, their jobs, their friends and move to a new state and a new community. The terror she has felt because of her stalker has caused Hannah to stay very close to home and to be fearful of trusting others.

Hannah's withdrawn ways have not gone unnoticed. When her neighbor, Isaac Troyer, rashly tells Hannah he thinks her reclusive, he doesn't make a good first impression. Already feeling guilty about how he has treated Hannah, he feels even more repentant for his flippant comment after he learns about Hannah's past. His apology places a tiny crack in Hannah's protective wall that allows the two of them to slowly become better acquainted.

Just as they both begin to anticipate the possibility of a future together as more than friends danger once again lingers nearby. Will Hannah be able to trust after evil threatens to tear her world apart again? Will Isaac be able to save the woman he has come to love? Will Hannah's family flee from danger again or will they take a stand against evil? Will Hannah and Isaac find their happily ever after? Read Her Secret: The Amish of Hart County by Shelley Shepard Gray to find out for yourself. You will be captivated!

The Author - Shelley Shepard Gray:

Although New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Shelley Shepard Gray grew up in Texas, she has resided in Ohio for the past ten years. Even though she doesn't feel overly gifted or talented in any way, Shelley is grateful and blessed that in God's eyes she is beloved and exceptional. Her fans and those in the writing  field obviously see talent in her writing as not only is she a bestselling author but she has also been a finalist for the American Christian Fiction Writers prestigious Carol Award as well as won two HOLT Medallions.
