My Thoughts on Sunday's Mother's Day Sermon

Society says that it is okay to take tiny steps into sin. But God has called us to be set apart. For in His infinite wisdom, God knows that in our weak sinful natures once we start allowing little slivers of sin to enter our lives, we give the Devil a foothold and start on a dangerous slippery slope that will draw us deeper into sin and farther from God and His perfect will for each of us! This is why we must make every effort to be in His word and commune with Him in prayer daily! It is essential to our spiritual health and survival.

"Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at his coming. As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.” 1 Peter 1: 13-16
