Summer Tennis - Inexpensive Summer Activities for Children



The sun is shining bright as summertime nears. Do your child get bored easily? Are you looking for fun yet inexpensive activities to do as a family this summer? The Summer Activities for Children Series provides listings of free and/or inexpensive family activities for the summer. Perhaps this tennis activity will be an ace!



Tennis for Kids, Inc. © is a free program for children ages 7 through 16 in Adams and York Counties in Pennsylvania. Their mission is to provide children the opportunity to learn the game of tennis as well as to provide socialization. If your child does not have a racquet, one will be provided for their use during the summer sessions. You can learn more about this program as well as register your child on the Tennis for Kids site. They have 21 sites for children to play tennis throughout Adams and York Counties (See chart below). Most sessions are held from 9:00 am until 11:00 every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday with the exception of Northeastern and Dover, which run Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday and Stewartstown, which is scheduled every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. The first session will be held on Friday, June 19th with the final session taking place on July 21st.
