My mom and I joined a group of women from our church,
Hanover First Church of God, recently for a Bible Study by the humorous, loving, Christ-proclaiming
Lisa Harper. The first night, our activity was to write a question to God and release it. The question that sometimes comes to my mind is "Seriously, God, one more thing?" Ever since writing that question down, Satan has been throwing one more thing at me from all directions with my own health issues including Lupus, my son's Aspergers and behavior, Federal agencies losing paperwork for programs we have applied for, my son's school not following his IEP and doubling his work load. The beauty in the midst of all of the mess and chaos is that through it all, God has been reminding me that even when that "one more thing" comes my way, He is there ready to handle it and do battle in my honor. Even when I can't handle the trials that come my way, God can and will each and every time. It has been a faith building experience for which I am thankful. Yes, I am thankful because it is in these times that God draws me closer to Him, stretches me beyond my own abilities, teaches me how to persevere, strengthens my character, and bolsters my hope just as His word promises to do in
Romans 5:3-5. It is my prayer, precious ones, that God will bless each one of you as He has me. That He will become a very real presence in your lives and that you will find strength and hope in Him. God is with me and with each and every one of you ALWAYS! "...And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Matthew 28:20b (NIV)
