Tune in on August 4th: Worship Leader Matt Redman To Be Interviewed on Teen Talk Radio

Paxton, IL—Songwriter Matt Redman has been leading worship full-time since the age of 20, journeyed to countries such as South Africa, Japan, India, Australia, Germany, Uganda, Croatia and the Czech Republic, and composed songs used in worship services all over the world. Redman will join youth culture expert Nicole O’Dell on Teen Talk Radio on Thursday, August 4th, at 10 p.m. EST at www.choicesradio.com to share about his music, his books and his upcoming projects.

Matt Redman’s early compositions include the popular “The Heart of Worship,” “Better is One Day” and “Once Again.” More recent songs have included “Blessed Be Your Name” and “You Never Let Go.” Redman’s July 1st book release, Mirror Ball, reminds us that even when we feel insufficient to reflect God’s glory, God can show through us as light radiates through a prism.  Living in this truth will transform how we view our words, our relationships and our daily lives. Through story, scripture, and personal inspiration, Mirror Ball invites readers to live a life that reflects God’s radiance.

Mirror Ball by Matt Redman. David C Cook. August 2011. 192 pages. $12.99. Paperback. ISBN: 978-0-7814-0578-2. Mirror Ball will be reviewed here on God's Writer Girl at a later date.
Teen Talk Radio airs weekly on Thursdays at 10:00 p.m. EST. At Teen Talk Radio “It's all about choices!” A show for teens, about teens and with teens, Teen Talk Radio finds host Nicole O’Dell often diving into topics like peer pressure, dating, purity, drugs, alcohol, modesty, popularity, decisions about the future, and many other issues that teens face today. O’Dell encourages parents to also tune in to find out what their teenagers are talking about. Visit Teen Talk Radio at www.choicesradio.com to learn of upcoming shows.

A youth culture expert, Nicole O’Dell writes fiction and non‐fiction focused on helping teens make good choices and bridging the gap in parent/teen communication. Nicole is also the host of Teen Talk Radio at www.choicesradio.com, where she talks with teens and special guests about the real issues young people face today. She loves getting out among teens and parents when speaking at youth groups and conferences, including venues like the Ascension Convention which draws over 2500 teens. Over the years, Nicole has worked as a youth director, a Bible study leader for women and teens, a counselor at a crisis pregnancy center, and was a veteran camp counselor for over a decade. Her viewpoints on tough teen issues like abortion, gun violence, teen pregnancy, purity and dating are sought after for media interviews, and she has been a guest on various radio and television programs, including the Herman and Sharron show on the Christian Television Network. Her writing also includes devotionals and Bible studies for women of all ages. Nicole O’Dell and her husband Wil have six children ranging from 19 down to the most recent additions: triplets, born in August 2008.

O’Dell is the author of the popular Scenarios for Girls interactive fiction series designed to help tween girls learn the importance of making sound decisions. In each book, the main character arrives at a moral dilemma where the reader gets to choose! There are alternate endings based on the reader’s choice. Nicole has seen that this method gives the reader the opportunity to experience the consequences of the “wrong” choice or the rewards of the “right” one without the real-life cost. Each book also depicts forgiveness and restoration following both decisions. The contract at the end of the book gives the reader a chance to commit to her choice and encourages her to seek accountability. The prayer leads her to a commitment to God in regard to that specific decision. Her writing also includes devotionals and Bible studies for women of all ages.
